    Interesting, thanks. Like you say, probably not worth the risk of grass sickness, even if it is miniscule

    Its used here at the farm I live on. As Be positive said they go clear out huge chicken sheds, both meat chickens and egg layers.
    The smell is beyond bad! Its not used on my grazing fields though but apparently amazing on the crops.

    The raw stuff was spread on fields about a mile from me some years ago - the smell was horrendous and the whole area was hit with a plague of house flys.

    You can buy the pelleted stuff for gardens, no smell. My dogs love it and hoover it up if allowed, it has never made them ill.

    Neighbour spreads it over the fields every 1 - 2 months without fail it stinks

    It's certainly fertile! My dad once accidentally grew some monstrous cannabis plants after chucking waste bird seed on an area the chickens had been on. (Must have slipped through treatment to stop it growing). He was horrified to discover what it was when a mate from Heathrow customs visited. I didn't tell him, it was much too funny
